Northern Soul dance floor filler, "If I Had A Love" is a reissue of a previously released single (only in the UK). While "Why Then" was only released during the past several years in digital format with the exception of a few test presses. However, this will be the first time that the legendary track will be pressed and distributed on wax by the newly formed independent label, Capital City Records out of Sacramento, California."Why Then" during recent years has grown in popularity among the Lowrider/Sweet Soul style collectors and music lovers who have long awaited a vinyl release..

There is much mystery as to the identity of The Truths Inc, who recorded these gems at Playground Recording Studio in Valparaiso, Florida in 1973. Some recognize this group as "The Dudes". It seems that this was actually going to be the name of the LP the group had been working on during this period. Buddha Records, declined to sign the group so the recordings sat in seclusion for decades. These gems are licensed through Southern Americana Music BMI and recorded from the masters.

Recorded in 1973 at Playground Recording Studio in Valparaiso, Florida. Tracks written by John P Jones and produced by Gabby Bruce, a disc jockey from the local area who recently passed away.
